Flemish trade mission visits B·U·T project in Abu Dhabi

B·U·T Dubai General Manager Wim Bonjean demonstrates various interactive applications in Masdar City to Flemish Minister-president Kris Peeters.
On February 8 a Flemish Government delegation led by Minister-president Kris Peeters visited Masdar City in Abu Dhabi. Wim Bonjean, General Manager of the B·U·T Dubai branch gave a guided tour through this urban development, powered by renewable energy and home to the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology.
B·U·T is currently designing and developing a modular platform for Masdar City to manage and visualise the Masdar Content Cloud. This is a collection of videos, statistics, animations, press clippings, interactive maps, events, etcetera.
The Flemish Minister-president and some twenty business managers were greatly impressed by what they saw on the giant screens. Especially the integration between the Content Cloud, the data from the city’s building management system and the feeds from the internet was commended for its novel approach, and so were the graphics and software design.
The delegation witnessed how the information is made available throughout Masdar City on kiosks, very high resolution video walls, internet, intranet and mobile devices.
